They have great skill in choosing colors for my home - colors I did not at first agree with but now realize they were absolutely right - and redesigning my rooms using my belongings and adding decorative touches. What would take me hours to research on the web they did effectively and efficiently - finding the products I desired in my price range. They were in continual contact throughout my project and truly wanted my home to fit me and my family's lifestyle. We love our redesigned space and wholeheartedly recommend their services. I have wanted to paint my den for TEN YEARS and have strongly disliked the tile in the back hallway, but could never decide on a color or a plan. Catherine & Laura came over one May day and made the den work with the hallway and the living room work with the kitchen and finally, all of the art makes sense. Spending time with Cathy and Laura is delightful, like "having tea with old friends." These gals have great style and amazing talent, and a lovely way of connecting with customers. We are so pleased with our new color palette, and all of the design elements and little touches that have modernized our 15 year old home. We had a large bonus room that was underused by our family of five. Chartreuse came in and rearranged our furniture into functional zones that are comfortable for the whole family. Now a lot of our family time is spent in this space - reading, crafting, watching movies and playing games! We are amazed at what Laura and Catherine were able to do with our room by re-thinking the floor plan, using creative storage solutions and repurposing our artwork. We enjoyed working with them so much that we called them back in when it was time to repaint our entire home interior. We had tile in our master bathroom that we did not care for and we did not know how to work around it. They were able to select a color that updated the entire bathroom! Throughout the house, their color selections were perfect! Now, our house has a nice flow and the architectural details really stand out. I will definitely be calling them again and have recommended them to several of my friends who are also very pleased! - Beth T.
I really enjoyed working with Catherine and Laura. They had some great ideas, particularly with regard to color selections. If I didn't like one of their selections - no problem! They came back with more. They were very responsive and timely in their work. It was like having good friends over to help me out (friends who actually know what they are doing!) What I know for sure about Laura and Catherine is that I hope to have the opportunity to use their design services again. If there are only two design consultants, these two are it. Knowing that we were a non-profit organization with limited funds, they generously donated their services for our entire relocation project. At first I was skeptical they could do anything with a 2,946-square-foot farmhouse on a budget of $1500. I wasn’t skeptical for long after witnessing them in action. They transformed the farmhouse into an attractive and therapeutic atmosphere for children and adults with disabilities. They selected a soothing color scheme to put the visually impaired at ease - and to seamlessly connect the rooms. They added nontraditional accents on the walls, such as tobacco baskets, to help blend the inside of the house with the sprawling pastures beyond the house where the horses grazed. They secured donations or deep discounts on desks for the employees and purchased several high-quality tables of the same height, resulting in our ability to host classes, workshops, parties and board meetings for small or large groups. These are just a few of the things they did - and they didn't go over the budget. Laura and Cathy really performed a miracle on a tight budget. Two years later I think our art room is the most used room in the house. They organized it in a way my kids know exactly where to find things...(and should know where to return them, we are working on that!). I plan to have them back to help me organize my office space for my new business. Working with Catherine and Laura was a pleasure. I won a color consultation with Chartreuse Design at a silent auction. We had struggled with what color to paint our great room for over three years. Since we moved in our house, the vast white space with the vaulted ceilings was overwhelming to us. Within 1/2 an hour in the space, Cathy and Laura came up with the perfect color to paint our walls that beautifully complemented the other rooms in the house, and our furniture. They also came up with some great suggestions on painting the mantel, and how to hang our artwork in order to maximize their impact in the room.
